Dalal Sater has been involved with Al Waha Fund of Funds since its launch in 2018, with more than six years of experience in the banking sector.
Her main role at Al Waha Fund of Funds is to manage the strategic impact of underlying Venture Capital partnerships in Bahrain.
Dalal started her career supporting SMEs on the finance side at Bahrain Development Bank’s Credit Administration & Control department before moving to the Development Services Division, where she is actively involved in coaching startups, building a program of events that promote the MENA funding ecosystem and monitoring portfolio startups’ performance by preparing a number of reports. Dalal frequently arranges workshops and networking evenings, bringing together key startup stakeholders from across the region.
Dalal anticipates that the future of the region for venture capitalists lies in FinTech, healthcare, e-commerce and EdTech, and has been actively involved in several partnership agreements with funds working in those areas.
Dalal holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance from Leeds Metropolitan University, United Kingdom and is Certified Business Coach from the Chartered Management Institute in the UK.
